My students need an iPad to help foster their love of computer science and other STEM concepts in our classroom.

My Students

My students are second graders at a wonderful school in the suburban area of San Elijo in San Marcos, California. They are 24 of 1,100 students that we serve at our TK-5 school. Students in my classroom are hard workers, problem solvers, and persevere through any task given to them. My students come to school with a growth mindset filled with curiosity and are eager to learn. Their love of learning fills my classroom every day. Providing students with fun, creative opportunities to learn is my goal on a daily basis.

My Project

Adding another iPad in our classroom will help to give students exposure to specific coding apps that will foster their love of computer science. Specific apps that students will have the opportunity to explore include Scratch and Scratch Jr, as well as the family of apps that work with the robots Dash and Dot.

Students living in today's 21st century need opportunities to engage in computer science, in order to be well prepared for their future.

An iPad will truly help students in our classroom to work collaboratively together to achieve a common goal of programming robots and coding other games through apps on the App Store.
