This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is dedicated to providing quality education to a diverse group of students, many of whom come from low-income families. Despite the financial challenges they face, our students are exceptionally bright, motivated, and eager to learn, especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

My goal is to enhance our STEAM curriculum by incorporating more hands-on learning experiences that can stimulate our students' interest and creativity in technology.

To achieve this, I am seeking support to acquire accessories for our Dash Wonder robots. These educational robots are not only engaging but also an excellent tool for teaching coding, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills in an interactive and fun way. The mechanical arms will allow the students to master even more robotics skills by simulating object detection and manipulation. The Gripper mechanical arms will allow the Dash robot to pick up, carry, and set down a variety of lightweight objects.

The introduction of Dash Wonder robots in our classroom has provided my students with the opportunity to explore coding and robotics, areas that are increasingly important in today's technological world. The mechanical arms will increase the challenges and projects that students can carry out and provide them with more fun learning opportunities!
