My Students

The students in my classroom are all different and amazing. They come to kindergarten with such a curiosity and love of learning. Finding funding to supply classroom supplies can be difficult because our school is not a Title One school.

Hands on learning is the best way for kindergarteners to grasp the concepts that we teach in kindergarten.

The Benjamin Franklin quote "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn," is an everyday experience in my classroom.

My Project

Botley the Coding Robot will be a wonderful tool to introduce my students to the world of coding. Coding is quickly becoming a necessary skill in today's tech-based economy. I want to introduce this concept in kindergarten to help my students understand the concept of coding.

Botley the Coding Robot will provide a fun, engaging, and hands-on opportunity to learn the basics of coding.

Teaching coding to children in kindergarten not only helps them understand technology but also teaches them important problem solving skills - even my students with no interest in coding will benefit from using Botley the Coding Robot.
