Coding Basics Using Bee-Bots

Help me give my students the basics of computer science and programming. Students will collaborate in groups to program the Bee-Bots to travel using simple commands. This can cover content in math, science, social studies, and reading.

My Project

Kindergarteners will practice phonemes and sight words while engaging in programming the Bee-Bots as a team. They will review shapes and consider multiple steps necessary to move the Bee-Bot to the ending shape. First grade will solve addition and subtraction problems on a mat using Bee-Bots. They will review the characters in a story, the setting, and the plot of a story while moving the Bee-Bot to different locations on a mat. Second graders will learn cardinal directions and code their Bee-Bots to travel across a large-scale town. Third graders will practice multiplication facts by coding Bee-Bots to travel to the correct product in a large grid.
