Coding and Creating

Help me give my students Sphero Coding Robot Balls and Keva planks to learn to code and build structures.

My Project

I am the STEM teacher at a Title I school and work with students K-5th grade. I see each class weekly. Coding is part of our students' future. Coding is compared to learning a second language. Coding needs to be taught in school because my students have limited access outside of school.

This project will teach my students beginning coding skills as well as more advanced coding abilities.

I want to start with Keva Planks to design a maze and have students manipulate programming directions on paper to understand order matters. I want to utilize Sphiro Mini Balls for the students to use the Robots to proceed through the maze they designed and build their basic coding skills. The Sphiro Bolt+ will enable students to adapt more ways to code with advanced levels.

Students at my school need coding skills to meet demanding skills for their future!
