Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Code Red: making menstruation products easily accessible to girls who may not have access to, or knowledge of them. By donating to my Period Product Project, you will help me offer guidance, education, and comfort to middle school and high school girls understand a topic that may be difficult and awkward to navigate.
In addition to maxi pads, tampons, and panty liners, the Code Red Project will also provide these girls with book titles that address periods in a fun yet informative way.
In an equity focused school, where 100% of students in our urban city receive free and reduced lunches, having these period products available in school will help alleviate some fear and difficulty. Your contribution will ultimately help them to increase their academic achievement by allowing them to focus on their school work and not on a basic need which is not being met.
