This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After the tremendous success and enthusiasm generated during our recent Dia de Los Muertos celebration, our spirited freshmen have expressed a keen desire to end the school year on an equally joyful note. In response to their enthusiastic request, I am planning to host a memorable Hot Chocolate Bar on the last day of 2023, coinciding with the final school day before the well-deserved winter break.
Our students, many of whom face uncertainties and challenges during the holiday season, expressed a genuine desire for a Hot Chocolate party as a way to come together and find joy amidst the stress and anxiety that this time of year can bring.
For some, this celebration will be a highlight, providing warmth and a sense of community during a season that can be difficult for many in our diverse and vibrant student body.
Recognizing the financial constraints faced by our students' families, we are turning to generous individuals like yourself who understand the impact a small act of kindness can have on these young lives. Your support in providing the materials needed for our Hot Chocolate Bar project (water boiler, chocolate packets, marshmallows and peppermint containers) will not only bring smiles and comfort to these students but also show them that they are valued and cared for by a community that extends beyond the classroom.
