Cluster Classroom Needs

Help me give my students the manipulatives they need to be successful. All of my students are tactile, kinesthetic learners. We need tangible learning materials in order to grow and learn. We are a cluster classroom of 11 students.

My Project

Dear Generous Donors,

I am requesting tangible learning supplies and tactile fidgets to help my cluster classroom students reach their full potential.

Each of my students is special in their own way, and many have individualized education plans (IEPs) that require extra support. These supplies will address their diverse learning needs, providing all students with the opportunity to participate and succeed.

The specific items I’m requesting — such as tactile fidgets, sensory tools, and hands-on learning materials — will make a significant impact on my students' ability to focus, engage, and learn. Many of my students have sensory processing challenges or attention difficulties, and these tools will provide them with the sensory stimulation they need to stay attentive and calm during lessons. Fidget tools can help students with attention challenges manage their energy and emotions, allowing them to concentrate better. Additionally, the tactile materials will allow students to engage in learning through touch, which is crucial for many of them to grasp new concepts and retain information. For example, students who struggle with traditional methods of learning letters and numbers can benefit from tracing letters on tactile surfaces or using sensory items to practice fine motor skills.

My main goal for this project is to ensure that every student in my classroom reaches their IEP learning goals this year. Whether it’s mastering letter sounds, developing social-emotional skills, or improving motor coordination, these supplies will provide the extra support needed to help my students achieve success. I am confident that, with these materials, we can create a more inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student feels supported and able to thrive.
