This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in Beginning Drawing and Painting classes will explore portraits in charcoal. They will make self-portraits in charcoal, drawing with charcoal as it is best for moving tones around as you develop the shapes. We need charcoal paper for these portraits!
Advanced DP classes will transfer their Cloud form drawings in charcoal using transfer paper to canvas boards for paintings of clouds.
Students trace the major contours of their cloud forms drawing on tracing paper and put transfer paper underneath their traced drawing to transfer the major shapes to canvas, adding vine charcoal to darken the lines. We need transfer paper for this project!
