Dance offers an outlet for students to express a variety of emotions and show school spirit and pride. As we prepare for students to join a brand new school dance team to our school and perform for upcoming performances this school year, consideration must be given to what these performances would entail.
Due to the socioeconomic status of our school, we do not have much of a budget for purchasing uniforms for performances.
Having matching uniforms is imperative to us looking like a team.
Being able to promote school spirit and pride gives the dance team a sense of purpose and confidence in themselves. As members of the school's dance team, participants are afforded opportunities to increase their skills in collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, discipline, and leadership.
