My Project
I love how resilient, curious, and kind-hearted my students are. As a school counselor in a low-income area of North Philadelphia, I see every day how much they strive to learn, support each other, and grow — even when facing challenges outside of school.
The last time I received clothing donations, my students were incredibly grateful, sharing how much it meant to have clean, comfortable, and well-fitting clothes — it gave them confidence, eased their anxiety, and allowed them to focus on learning instead of worrying about their appearance.
When students have their basic needs met, they’re free to be fully present in the classroom. This project will help ensure that all of my students feel cared for, confident, and ready to succeed — because every child deserves to learn in comfort and dignity.
