Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a Title I School; we are located in a low income neighborhood. They are eager to learn but lack the necessary supplies. School starts in August, and parents struggle to purchase supplies or even uniforms.
Hurricane Harvey left us devastated now we are in the road to recovery.
They come to school with hopes and dreams. I want to enhance their dreams by increasing their knowledge. Fifth grade is a crossroads for my students as they are on their way to middle school. My students enjoy working on workstations.
My Project
As the year comes to a close we begin to reflect in a wonderful school year. This year was full of ups and downs but we are ready to move on. My students are in need of snacks I am going to be using these snacks for our end of the year festivities. We are also in need of organization boxes to keep our workstations stored properly over the summer. Then in August our workstations will be ready to roll. We are also in need of copy paper at times we are running low. I used to copy paper for my interacting journal.
