This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are simply amazing and resilient!! This year they have persevered through countless challenges. They have showed up, despite personal loss, emotional distress and educational challenges. They have fallen behind, academically, but they are pushing through. They show up in person every day and are so engaged. They are deserving of every good thing that I can give them.
My Project
These unprecedented and uncertain times have made one thing certain, our kids have fallen behind! My goal and desire is to find practical and effective ways to reduce the deficit that all students are experiencing. It's time to go back to basics and give students some meaningful tools to be successful. With goals that are attainable and all possible support, students will make strides. Next year will be tough but with the right tools and resources, some tenacity, all is not, and won't be lost. Let's help students feel successful again!
