Closing the Gap in Phonics With Tech and White Boards!

My Students

I have an amazing class! They are hard workers and enjoy learning. They have been focusing on a new phonics program and mastering a new math program as well.

They spend at least 30 minutes a day working hard at mastering their reasoning skills in math.

They practice their math facts and love doing an activity called "Read to Someone". This is where they are allowed to read with a partner with close "matching and monitoring".

My Project

Our white boards are completely worn out and they are expensive to replace. We are using them this year for "word chains" and working on phonemic awareness.

Headphones for ALL will help tremendously!

The students were asked to bring headphones at the beginning of the year and some did, but many didn't and some take them home to use and forget to bring them back.

If we have headphones to number and leave at school, it will help with the "germ" issue and they can listen to their device without bothering others.
