Closing Reading and Math Gaps

Help me give my students with reading and mathematics. My students are all in general education classes but have disabilities that cause them to need help closing skill gaps. These resources will help close the gaps in learning.

My Students

I am a K-1 exceptional education teacher. My students are fantastic! They like school and want to learn. My students sometimes have difficulties with accessing the grade level content, staying on task, and engaging for long periods of time. My students need to be engaged during their learning in order to keep their attention.

My students are able to close some of their learning gaps when given extra time, engaging resources, and accommodations to grade level content.

My students often need more time to help them learn content and this grant will help provide them with an opportunity to use programs above and beyond the school day to enhance their skills. They also need engaging resources that allow them to learn in a fun and engaging manner.

Many of my students have sensory issues. Providing my students with resources that help them function throughout the school day and enhance their learning is paramount to success.

My Project

My students have disabilities but are all in general education classrooms. My students need modification is able to access the general education curriculum. In order to help them access the content and skills, this project includes resources that help close gaps in learning and make learning engaging.

My students need additional phonics and numeracy instruction to help close the gaps.

These resources will help provide some additional phonics and numeracy instruction for my students. Students who have sensory disabilities and engagement challenges learn better when given engaging resources like those found within this project.
