Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is of utmost importance to have a reliable and working thermometer so that I am able to take the very best care of my students. My current thermometers are not working correctly and are providing inaccurate readings. I want to ensure that I can provided an accurate temperature reading for my students so that afebrile student's do not miss valuable instructional time and those who have fevers can go home and receive the care they need. In addition, reusable ice packs tend to "run-away" and waiting for water to freeze can delay care. An ice machine will help ensure ice packs are always available to those in need.

A reliable thermometer and access to ice packs are MUST HAVES for the school nurse clinic!

With the hospital grade Welch-Allyn thermometer and an automatic ice machine, I will be able to provide parents with their child's accurate temperature readings and convenient, accessible ice packs for many school years to come.
