This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I adore the passion my students bring to every discussion, especially when it comes to environmental issues. Their curiosity knows no bounds, and their commitment to making a positive impact on the world is truly inspiring. Each of them possesses a unique perspective, which fosters rich and enlightening conversations.

By requesting binders, filler paper, large construction paper, and other basic supplies, I aim to facilitate their collaborative learning experiences in our climate justice book clubs.

The binders will help them organize their thoughts and resources, while the filler paper will allow them to jot down ideas and reflections as they read. Large construction papers will serve as canvases for their creative projects, enabling them to visually express their understanding of complex concepts.

My goal for this project is to empower my students to become informed advocates for environmental justice, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to address pressing ecological challenges in their communities. Their dedication, combined with these resources, will undoubtedly lead to meaningful learning experiences and positive real-world impacts.
