Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I am working to expand our climate change unit and to have more hands on activities for my students. With these materials we will be able to have labs focusing on ocean acidification, the uptake of carbon dioxide by plants, sea level rise, carbon dioxide and air temperature and many more. Climate change effects all of us and having the activities and materials will relate the importance of this to my students. Many of these donations will also be able to be used year round like the heat lamp stands, pipettes and lab culture flasks. Teachers pay teachers has really great resources for my students, but especially for my non English speakers. I am not bilingual and being able to find engaging activities for them helps them to better understand the materials.
