Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our climate is changing by the minute! and for that reason I am creating this project to help them learn more about climate change with the use a kid friendly video camera, weather books, hand puppet, giant weather stamps, felt squares and weather forecast which will be used to make a Climate and Environment Learning Station in the classroom!

I would like to make a corner of the dramatic area transformed into a climate weather station and news broadcast desk area for my TK students!

They will be so excited to share their weather reports, predictions and use the kid friendly video camera technology to record themselves in a live newscast.

They will be able to reference and learn about weather with the books and use the puppet to retell what they have learned. Additionally, they will create their own weather using those giant stamps based on what the weather they predicted and then confirm as they go outside. I can't wait to see them interact with each other. I am sure their speaking, listening, and cooperating skills will increease with this new classroom center!
