This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are the kindest, most caring, and most enthusiastic readers I've had thus far. The books I've curated are recommended climate change books for young readers who seek to make a change. Providing resources such as "All the Feelings Under the Sun" will enrich their learning by increasing their understanding of how climate impacts our communities and building on their knowledge to feel confident enough to educate others about climate change.

As an Environmental Magnet, we strive to empower our students to become climate change activists.

Students research and create environmental projects throughout the year, but it's the activism that we want to focus on. We hope that in the future, our students will be the ones who will make a difference in local, state, and federal policies that will protect our earth and its vital natural resources.
