My students need two Chromebooks to help them access the technology portion of the curriculum.

My Students

Twenty-six children enter my classroom every day eager to learn. One third of them are English Language Learners who are trying to navigate a very rigorous curriculum. The students in my classroom come from a very high-poverty area. Many of these students do not have access to technology outside of school.

Many components of our curriculum and tests are technology based.

In order for my students to be successful they need to be familiar with technology. Having newer technology in my classroom will help my students to fully access all of the curriculum.

My Project

My students will be able to use the Chromebooks to access curriculum content on the internet. Students will also be able to conduct research to help them complete science and social studies projects. My students will have the opportunity to learn how to use and become comfortable with using a laptop.

The Chromebooks will provide my students with opportunities to practice skills that they have learned within the classroom.

Students will be able to receive extra help using this technology as well. These Chromebooks will provide a world of opportunity for my students each and every day in the classroom.
