This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious, creative, and resilient my students are. As a special education teacher, I work with young learners who face a range of academic and developmental challenges, but they show up every day eager to learn, communicate, and grow. Many of my students have diverse learning needs, including disabilities, emerging literacy skills, or are learning English as a new language. They thrive when given materials that match their strengths and honor who they are.

To help each child access the curriculum, I create adapted books, visual supports, and individualized tasks that make learning clear, engaging, and culturally relevant.

These tools aren’t just helpful—they are essential. With a MacBook Air, I’ll be able to design high-quality, customized materials more efficiently and effectively. This laptop will allow me to plan lessons, modify texts, create visual routines, and collaborate with service providers and families to meet each student’s unique needs.

Your support will directly impact children with disabilities by giving them access to learning tools that make them feel seen, understood, and excited to learn. Together, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed—on their own terms.
