My Students

My students are bright and thoughtful learners. Their minds and bodies are moving a million miles an hour. Each one of them has countless potential and I love to celebrate their uniqueness.

They are a new generation of learners that are energetic, inquisitive, and insightful.

They struggle to make sense of this fast-paced world and all the information and technology at their fingertips.

Many of my students struggle emotionally and socially due to various and unique circumstances, which in turn leads to academic struggles. Often they become overwhelmed and want to quit.

I strive to foster a classroom that is a safe, quiet, reliable place for them to learn, a place that they can find what is great about themselves, what they are capable of, and how to sort through the chaos around them.

My Project

Students will be excited to choose which current event articles to read and respond to.

Giving them a choice to read what they are interested in will engage them and help foster a love of reading.

Math fact fluency is a requirement for continual growth in math computation. These games will make practicing them fun!

Along the way I want to reward students for working hard, following school rules, motivate them to learn. Students earn class cash to spend in our Class Store and these items are the ones they want!
