Clearing BARRIERS, Hurdles and BARS!

Help me give my students the equipment necessary to train safely. This pit will allow student athletes to train and compete using proper equipment.

My Project

As a title one school, our district spans over 600,000 acres and includes more than nine rural communities. The majority of our families are low-income, with over 80 percent of our student population qualifying for free or reduced lunch. However, our families continually support not our classrooms, but our student-athletes as well!

One student's dream of "having a real track," sparked a wave of support from track and field enthusiasts all over the state.

With private donations, grants, and a lot of generous supporters this student's dream was made a reality! Our previous all-cinder, egg-shaped track is now a world-class facility. Now, however, we need your generosity to help provide proper equipment so these athletes can train safely. All current equipment has been donated from other school districts and the students would love to have something that is just theirs. Our community will also be hosting several meets in addition to our annual district qualifying meet. This equipment will not only provide training opportunities to our team but an additional 20 teams. This project will reach more than 100 student-athletes!
