My Project

I love that my students come to speech therapy full of curiosity, energy, and determination. They may struggle with sounds, language, or communication, but they never give up. Each session, I see their faces light up when they say a new sound correctly, express an idea more clearly, or confidently share their voice with peers.

The resources I’m requesting will make speech therapy more engaging and accessible for every child.

The Apple 11-inch iPad will allow me to bring interactive speech and language apps into therapy, giving students instant feedback as they practice their sounds. Many of my students are motivated by technology, and having an iPad dedicated to therapy will allow them to learn through games, visuals, and activities that keep them excited about practicing. It will also let me record their speech so they can hear themselves and track their progress—an incredibly powerful tool for building confidence.

The HP 14-inch laptop will help me manage therapy sessions more efficiently by creating digital data logs, accessing online therapy resources, and preparing customized materials for students. It will also allow students to participate in literacy-building activities, virtual storybooks, and online practice games during sessions. Having both an iPad and a laptop ensures that I can provide a variety of learning experiences—whether it’s one-on-one articulation practice, group language activities, or digital progress monitoring. These tools will motivate my students to practice their speech and strengthen the communication skills.

These tools will not only help my students improve their speech and language skills, but also build their confidence. When children can communicate clearly, they can share their ideas, connect with their peers, and succeed academically. Your support will provide them with the technology, snacks, and resources they need to become strong and confident communicators—skills that will impact their lives far beyond my therapy room.
