This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are truly missing school, and, even though we meet often, I still want to make sure to give them a quality virtual lesson. My students come from a very poor environment, and when we meet online weekly, I want them to feel the love and support from me virtually.

Any donation is truly appreciated!

My Project

It feels so long since I have seen both my students and classroom. We have weekly chats and live video sessions, but it is not the same. But it is the safest option for now.

I have made many changes to accommodate to this new online teaching transition.

I have installed Wi-Fi in my house, changed a room to resemble a classroom, and even made my own backdrop.

The one thing that is still interfering with my instruction is not having a newer laptop. The microphone on the laptop sometimes works and sometimes does not, so I have been replying on my iPhone a lot. While I do not mind this at all, it is difficult to have good sound quality when your phone is far from you. That is why I would greatly appreciate a new laptop and printer.

Having a new laptop would help me clearly record video messages, reading passages, and lessons for my students.
