My students need the Classroom Edition of Signing Time and the Potty Training Complete Set so they have the tools that they need to effectively and safely communicate.
I have the most amazing students in the world. They come with their own unique personalities and talents and they make teaching a joy every single day. They are fighters and they inspire me daily to be a better teacher and a better person.
My students have very specific challenges that they face every single day with fire and passion to succeed.
They range from intellectual disabilities to autism. One of their challenges is being able to communicate effectively. In the classroom, we teach communication skills through the use of alternative communication devices as well as a variety of pictures.
I have students who are nonverbal and some who speak very little. To be able to give them tools to unlock their opinions, thoughts, and abilities to communicate with those around them would be life-changing. It would benefit the students as well as those adults that work with them.
My Project
The students that I am honored to teach are amazing and have a variety of exceptionalities that make them so SPECIAL. I have been using sign language in my classroom since the first day of school to help my nonverbal, as well as my low-verbal, students communicate.
The classroom edition of signing time will be used every single day during our morning meeting, as well as during focused instruction.
The potty training set will be used for my students who are still learning that basic life skill. My students deserve so much and I want to be able to give them the best tools that I can so that they can function at their highest potential possible.
