This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Welcome to my international ESOL corner. Our school is a Title One school in need of lots of help and support. My students are predominantly Hispanic, but I have a few African and Asian students. They are sweet, loving, and so eager to learn. My goal is to make that happen and have them feel loved, cared, and nurtured for always.

My corner of the world is our home away from home.

It is important for me to provide my students with experiences and to activate the prior knowledge that they lack because of cultural differences. My goal is to have my kids be able to function in our world, while respecting, accenting, and building on their cultural beliefs.

We will set goals, work on them, and conquer them.

Each school year most schools and grade levels publish a supply list. The supply list is a list of supplies that the homeroom teachers want the parents to purchase for the upcoming school year. Being a support teacher, I am not part of the receiving of these supplies. I see 25 kids daily and in order to keep healthy we need to keep our room spit spot.

My product list includes paper towels, Clorox wipes, a broom, a stick vacuum, and essential oils for our diffuser. I know that my students and their parents will appreciate your help in making sure we keep healthy and clean.
