This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students live in one of the poorest congressional districts also known as the “hungriest zip code” in the country. However, in 2020, our school was ranked the top 6-12 school in all five boroughs of New York for the third year in a row! There are vast reasons for my students' success such as data-driven instruction, individually tracking the progress of each student, and the development of interventions to meet the needs of every student. My students are so motivated and eager to learn!
I want to provide my students with a clean space to work in.
You have been so generous in helping fund our furniture, and now we need help with supplies for their upkeep. This space has become a safe haven for my students, and they love coming to get work done. The BISSELL Little Green Multi-Purpose Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleanerwill help ensure the couch and fabric chairs that were donated will stay clean. The Swiffer sweep vacuum will help us clean our floor.
Sometimes our students don't have access to basic necessities such as deodorant, soap, lotion, and feminine hygiene products. They often feel self-conscious. Please help me provide my student with the basic necessities in life.
