I teach prekindergarten scholars who come from low-income homes. Our Pre-K program helps the students to prepare for kindergarten academically, socially, and emotionally. I am also teaching them the importance of staying healthy to protect ourselves and each other.
Financial limitations at home, however, often lead to my learners coming to school with no mask or with the same dirty mask they wore the previous day.
There are times where families forget to send in a spare mask. Students have accidentally thrown their masks in the trash can while cleaning up after lunch or snack. Sometimes the students pop the strap on their mask. Other students come to school with masks that are too big.
I want to decreases the chances of my students getting sick and having to be absent from school.
There is a heavy need on cleaning supplies and masks in order to keep our classroom continuously safe and clean in the midst of Covid-19. Please help keep our learning environment safe, clean and inviting for my learners.
