Many times, while in the classroom, my babies ask me do I have any wipes for them to sanitize their desk, or do I have a band-aid or tissue for their nose. It makes me feel horrible to have to tell them no I don't have any tissue for your running nose or a band-aid for your bleeding finger. None of these things are provided to teachers, which means that everything we use inside of our classroom has to be funded by our own accord. Because teachers are paid very little and I am already literally living from check to check, I am unable to afford these things that the students should have access to in every classroom. The other part of my project is funding for rewards for my students for the same reason. I would love to be able to reward my students when they deserve it, but because of a lack of funding, most times I am unable to do so. I know, for sure, that my students will be highly appreciative of any little thing that is donated to them. Funding for these items would mean a great deal in my classroom and to my students. Thank you!
