My Students
We are an inner-city magnet school. We have very motivated students who face many economic challenges. For example, many of our students work hours after school to help support their families. Some have to take care of their younger siblings or elders in their families.
However, despite all the economic challenges my students face at home, they still come to school every day and work hard for a better future.
We have a 97-100% graduation rate. Most of our students will be going to college after they graduate from high school.
My Project
My classroom has faced many challenges. Occasionally, my students will come to school without needed supplies such as pencils, markers, or folders. Additionally, they lack the supplies that are needed for our math class. We just moved into a new classroom. We need bookshelves for the storing our text books and student note books. We also need batteries for school projects, inspiration posters to decorate the new classroom, cleaning supply keep our class room clean and neat, tissues and disinfected wipes to clean the desk. Cleaning products like tissues and other supplies are needed during this pandemic to keep the classroom clean. We have highly motivated students, but they just need help with getting supplies to help them succeed.
