This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is a family of learners. I teach a classroom full of smiles, determination, silliness, and unwavering love. Students in my classroom, now remote, face intellectual, physical, and emotional challenges every day, but they never give up. When they can't verbally communicate, they find a way. They find a way to show how much they care.

Our students also live in a high-poverty area which makes our school even more unique because they may not always have everything they have and need at home.

We have a high diversity of learners who often need some sort of tools to be more successful. Despite challenges at home and in the community, my students are enthusiastic, inquisitive, and thoughtful. In my classroom, we work with our students to work hard daily to improve their communication, behavior, and academic skills.

My Project

My students, from Pennsylvania, work very hard and come to school every day with the things they need to learn. It would be beneficial for them to have some specific cleaning supplies that would help keep our classroom safer.

By having immediate access to an air purifier, tissues, and hand sanitizer, my students will be able to make sure they are staying safe all the time with what they need.

We would really love to have a germ-free classroom. These cleaning supplies will be used every day to make sure that germs are not spread. The new cleaning supplies will help teach my students about responsibility with washing their hands and how important it is to keep their workspace clean. My students also ask for chapstick to keep their lips from being dry. A body sox will be used when students want to read in a quiet area.

I would like to use the supplies to help us have the safest new year possible! During this pandemic, cleaning products have been hard to find. Please help me get these supplies to keep my classroom clean.
