My Students
I teach 8th graders at a Title I intermediate school in a rural area. My students are motivated by our school motto “Kulia I ka nuu” (we seek the highest. )
My students are humble, loving, and passionate.
Despite the challenges they face, they care about each other, their families, and their education. They possess a very giving attitude as most of them know what it's like to have very little. Your donation will provide the classroom environment that they need.
My Project
My students want to attend school. Unfortunately, many are ashamed to attend because they lack clean clothing. Your generous donation will allow students to concentrate on their school work and not on what others think. They come from poverty, but they do not want a handout.
My students often lack access to the resources they need to wash their school uniforms.
By providing the washer and dryer, you will ensure these students have the ability to wash their own clothing and be free from being stigmatized. Not only will you provide clean clothing, but you will also provide a healthy self-confidence.
