My Project
At my school, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to excel in both academics and life. However, many of our students face challenges beyond the classroom that impact their ability to focus and thrive. The Clean Start Hygiene Cart aims to remove one of those barriers by providing essential hygiene products—such as toiletries, personal care items, and sanitary supplies—to students in need.
Lack of access to hygiene products can lead to decreased confidence, absenteeism, and difficulty concentrating in class.
By ensuring students have these basic necessities, we are promoting their well-being, boosting self-esteem, and creating an environment where they can fully engage in their education. A student who feels clean and confident is more likely to participate, interact, and take ownership of their learning.
Our goal for this project is to establish a sustainable, fully stocked hygiene cart that remains accessible throughout the school year. Through this initiative, we aim to support students’ dignity, enhance their overall school experience, and reinforce a culture of care and community within our school.
What makes our students special is their resilience, determination, and commitment to their futures. They are scholars with big dreams, ready to defy expectations and prove what’s possible. By providing them with these fundamental resources, we are aligning with our mission to prepare all students to excel in college and life. Additionally, this initiative reflects our vision of transforming education for students of color across the South by removing obstacles to their success.
