My Project
I am writing to request funding for a new initiative aimed at enhancing our students’ well-being and creating a more conducive learning environment in our language arts classroom. We are seeking to establish a "Calming Corner" designed to support mental health and provide a peaceful retreat for students. The Calming Corner will be a dedicated space where students can go to de-stress, reflect, and regain focus. This initiative is part of our broader commitment to fostering emotional well-being and supporting mental health in our classroom.
Supplies Needed:
Air Purifier: To ensure a clean and fresh atmosphere, promoting a healthy and calming environment.
Aroma Therapy Supplies: Essential oils and a diffuser to create a soothing ambiance and help reduce stress.
Lounge Chair: A comfortable and inviting chair for students to sit, relax, and reflect.
Weighted Blanket: Proven to calm and destress individuals. Often used in behavior therapy.
Mental Health Prompts: Inspirational and reflective prompts to guide students in self-reflection and mindfulness.
Student Individual Journals: Personal journals for students to express their thoughts, feelings, and reflections, fostering a practice of self-expression and emotional processing.
By investing in these supplies, we aim to provide students with a supportive space that will help them manage stress, improve focus, and enhance their overall learning experience. We believe this initiative will not only benefit individual students but also contribute to a more positive and productive classroom environment.
