Help me give my students the white boards they need to break into small collaborative groups to run AVID tutorials.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
AVID is a college prep program that helps students in the AVID elective class successfully navigate their way TO and THROUGH a four-year university. The students meet together in the elective class for all four years of high school and they engage in content that helps build their college-ready skills as well as their college knowledge.
My AVID students are kids who have traditional risk factors that might keep them out of college.
They might be the first in their family to go to college, they might have overcome adversity. They might come from an impoverished background, they might not have stellar grades. But they do all have one thing in common- they are determined to go to college!
My Project
Twice a week my students bring their toughest questions from their toughest subjects and present them to their peers in a process called Tutorial. Based on their subjects, I put them into three to five groups and they then present their problem to a small group of peers.
The process is incredible- it facilitates reflection, higher-level questioning, problem-solving, collaboration, confidence-building, and builds a positive classroom rapport.
But, with a dwindling number of white boards, and decreased quality of those that are left, the process is hindered. These AVID students need the appropriate materials to access the process and the content of their most challenging course work!
