My Project

My Students

I teach students with mild to moderate disabilities and am returning after 2.5 years away.

To support their confidence, independence, and health, it’s crucial our classroom is clean, organized, and fully functional from day one.

My Project

Currently, I am personally purchasing essentials like hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, whiteboard cleaner, microfiber cloths, and organization tools to keep our SPED classroom running smoothly. By covering these basics via DonorsChoose, I can dedicate our limited SPED funds to individualized student supports—such as sensory tools, instructional materials, or adaptive resources—as they emerge throughout the year.

In addition, I am requesting a thermal printer to create quick, accessible tables that include QR codes for IEP goals, accommodation tracking, and accommodation listings. This technology will save time, help staff and students access important information easily, and improve our ability to monitor and support each student's unique needs efficiently.

These supplies help reduce disruptions, prevent germ spread, and maintain a calm, structured learning space where our students can stay focused and thrive.
