The materials that I am requesting for my classroom will give students a "safe space" to know that accidents happen. With all the fun learning we are having in class our clothes can become dirty, messy or even soiled but it doesn't stop us from being productive. The detergent will give students a sense of freshness in a time of despair. Their minds will feel new again after the smell of something new.

We provide a daily nap time for our younger students, and having clean sheets and blankets helps create a safe, cozy environment where they can rest peacefully. Many of my students rely on school as a place where their basic needs are met, and something as simple as freshly laundered bedding brings comfort, dignity, and consistency into their lives. This project is about more than just cleanliness, it's about equity, care, and creating a classroom where every child feels seen and supported. My students are special because they show up with determination and hope, even when the odds aren’t in their favor.
