This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students generally come from low-income families that live around the school neighborhood located in City Heights, San Diego. Most of my students are African Americans and Latinos, followed by students from the Pacific Islands or Asian backgrounds. Our school is a unique place. The school has a great percentage of students with special needs. Therefore, our school needs to be equipped with technological devices, lab tools and materials, and other resources that would guarantee that all students have what they need to learn and succeed adequately.

We need your cooperation in order to supply our classroom with additional personal hygiene products, and nutritional snacks for our students.

Our 8th grade students would benefit from a clean classroom environment, and improvement of self-esteem... and a healthier body and mind with a better disposition towards learning.

My Project

We need your cooperation in order to supply our classroom with air fresheners and nutritional snacks for our students. This project will benefit 150 students, hence; this is an extension of a previous project in order to support every single student.

Our 8th grade students would benefit from a clean classroom environment, and improvement of self-esteem... and a healthier body and mind with a better disposition towards learning.

My students need to value the importance of a healthy and nutritional diet. Therefore, we are planning to replace unhealthy snacks for nutritious food that would guarantee a better body and mind disposition towards learning. For instance, students need more meals per day with the required protein contain as opposed to low-protein and high levels of sugar and fattening meals.

Additionally, maintaining a clean classroom environment is essential for the prevention of germs that cause the common cold, e.g., Coronavirus, and others.

We intend to use the air fresheners to keep an inviting aromatic classroom after cleaning it with disinfecting Clorox wipes. This project is meant to improve the students' health and self-esteem.
