Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have twenty-five amazing 3rd grade students that show up to class eager to learn, despite the challenges they are faced with both in and out of the classroom. Our school is a low income Title 1 that offers free breakfast and lunch to all children. My students have a wide variety of learning styles and levels, all of which deserve the best education possible. Every student in my classroom is unique and everyone in the room respects each other. I care about my students and they know it!

My goal as a bilingual teacher is to encourage my students to love learning and to develop lifelong independent learners.

I especially love that my students try their best on everything that comes their way. They love to read and enjoy hands-on activities. They are great helpers and I know I can count on them. Every day​, I make sure to instill good qualities that will make them amazing citizens. I want my students to remember me when they grow up, so I make them feel welcome, safe, and important on a daily basis!

My Project

My 3rd graders need help keeping clean, healthy and organized. Clorox wipes, bins, and a rolling cart will help keep our class clean and organized. Staying healthy is a must too, so snacks are important for brain breaks during class time. I am also requesting items for a sensory bin to help my students stay focused and concentrate.

These materials will improve the overall quality of our classroom and students health.

We have two iPads that are in need of heavy duty cases to protect from falls, so I have requested those as well. Most of the items I am asking for were on our Amazon classroom wishlist. I decided to create a Donor's Choose project to ask for the necessary items to make our classroom more clean, healthy, and organized. My students love learning to how to be responsible citizens as they grow!
