Clean Hands, Full Hearts, Open Minds

Help me give my students a clean, safe, and inclusive learning environment with hand sanitizers, disinfectants, tissues, diverse library books, skin-tone bandages, and calming puzzles to support both their health and emotional well-being.

My Project

I absolutely love how curious, resilient, and eager to learn my students are. As the librarian at a Title I school, I serve a diverse group of learners who thrive when given a safe, clean, and inclusive environment where they can explore, imagine, and grow. Many of my students face challenges outside of school, so I work hard to make the library a calm, welcoming space where they feel seen, supported, and inspired.

The items in this project will help create a cleaner, healthier, and more engaging environment for all students.

The hand sanitizer dispensers, refills, disinfectant sprays, and tissues will keep our space sanitized and safe—especially during cold and flu season. The book holders will keep our library organized and accessible for little hands. The puzzles will support social-emotional learning and provide calming moments when students need a brain break.

I’m also passionate about providing materials that reflect the rich cultural identities of my students. The books and puzzles that highlight Latinx and Black history and excellence will allow students to see themselves in our collection—and learn about others, too.

These resources will not only enhance daily learning but also help foster a strong sense of safety, belonging, and joy in the library. Thank you for helping me continue to make the library a place where all students feel cared for and excited to learn!
