This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students a cozy rug, a broom, and a mini vacuum so we can create a clean and comfortable classroom where they can learn, gather, and grow together.

All year long, my students have said, “I wish we had a rug!” They’ve been dreaming of a soft space where they can sit during morning meetings, read books with friends, and engage in group activities.

Right now, we make do with the floor, but it’s not the same. A rug would make our classroom feel more like a home—a place where students feel safe, calm, and connected.

Along with the rug, we also need simple cleaning tools like a broom and a mini vacuum. With so many little feet and activities,things can get messy quickly! These tools will help us take pride in our space and keep it looking its best throughout the year.

This project may seem small, but it means everything to my students. It’s about creating a warm, inviting environment where they can focus, feel comfortable, and enjoy learning. With your support, we can finally say, “We have a rug!” and give our classroom the cozy touch it’s been missing.
