My Project

My future dance students at HWIS are a curious, compassionate, and creative group of 4th-6th grade learners. This year our school is launching our dance program, and we are requesting a few items to transform our four walls into a vibrant space for learning.

As an educator who instructed throughout the covid pandemic and beyond, I become more attuned to the cleaning and hygiene needs for our students.

That is why I am requesting your support in funding a robot vacuum and mop device for our classroom. The biggest source of germs in my classroom is our dance floor. Dancers work intimately with the floor, from jumping, rolling, and stretching very close to its surface, so it is very important that we keep this area clean! It is so important for my dancers to know that our classroom is a clean, safe space to learn.

By completing this project, I hope to promote safety and pride within our classroom. Having a clean floor has always been a priority, but the need for a sanitized space has been heightened since the Covid-19 pandemic. We are in need of a robot mop system to vacuum and mop our dance floor. It is recommended that our dance floor be vacuumed and/or mopped daily. In conjunction with another project posted on this site, using a robotic system will cut down on the amount of cleaning time and allow for our studio to set a daily maintenance time in between our morning and afternoon classes.
