This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Part of a strong classroom community is the ability to provide students with basics like tissues, Scotch tape, and a clean, germ-free desk. Although these items may seem random for a wish list, I can tell you they are the most needed items in our classroom. Being able to provide tissues to students, especially with so many viruses flooding our schools and homes allows students to stay within the classroom and prevents minor distractions; keeping the desks clean of germs (and the occasional doodle) tells our students that we value them and their space; having Scotch tape on hand allows students to organize their writer's notebooks by securing graphic organizers, glossaries, and other materials directly into their notebooks.
A fully supplied classroom is one of the strongest indicators of a functioning classroom and it through your donations that I can provide that for my students.
