Clean Culinary Creations

My students need 40 aprons to protect themselves and others from germs in the foods classes.

This project is fully funded

Students will be able to create safe and healthy culinary treats when they are dressed with clean aprons. I teach Family and Consumer Sciences for grades 9-12, in a school district where money is scarce.

I recently began teaching in this department where I was surprised that there were no aprons available for students to wear during classroom cooking labs! Large numbers of students sign up for the food classes. There are about 4 food classes each day. That is great to have so many students, but it also increases costs. I have a small budget and grocery prices continue to rise. I can't afford food for the classes if I purchase aprons from this small budget.

I need 40 aprons for the students to wear during class cooking labs. This will help teach them about safe food handling, and help to keep the classroom food safe and clean.

You can help encourage students to practice good food sanitation habits by supporting this project of classroom aprons. These classroom habits will likely continue into students' home lives and you will be helping to keep their family food safe as well.
