Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The display shelves will allow students to see all of the prizes and rewards they are able to earn throughout the year. The display case will allow kids to see new rewards and will motivate them to do their best. These items will also allow students to take responsibility and equity in their classroom. These items will be a part of classroom jobs and students will earn paychecks for their work. We do a lot of science projects that get messy and the vacuum will be such a life saver. Our school provides headphones but they are basic and break easily. Students will now have their own personal headphones for the year and will motivate them to take care of them.
Everyone deserves a clean, safe space to learn and grow.
I know as a teacher, students take a lot of pride in their space and they want to feel safe, clean and cared for. The bubble lamp will help kids with Autism and truly does help kids stay calm and relaxed. My goal for this project is to have items to enrich their learning and environment.
My students deserve a place where they can relax, feel loved and learn life skills. My students have class jobs and these items will serve as part of their classroom responsibilities. These kids are our future, and I know they will enjoy these items.
