My Project
On occasion students come to school with clothing that is dirty or smelly, thus creating a concern for the social and emotional wellbeing of the child. We also have students who soil themselves here on campus that could benefit from a clean set of clothes to continue learning instead of going home to change. A new washer and dryer here on campus would be an awesome addition to help our families during difficult times.
We are looking to expand our ability to help students and parents in difficult situations through the use of an on campus laundry room with washing machine and clothes dryer.
We plan to utilize the washer and dryer to help families through a sign up system when they are having a hardship and cannot make it to the laundry mat. When students have clean clothes they are better able to focus on their studies.
