Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am blessed with the opportunity to teach fifth grade. Most of my students come from a low income home. My school is a Title I school and most students are on free lunch. This makes "asking" for school supplies very difficult to do, as a teacher. Their desire to learn and grow keeps me on my toes. I was told once, by a seasoned educator, that children are like rubber bands. You will never know how far you can stretch them until you try! I push my students to the max every single day. They return each push with work that astounds me. This project would help my first group of fifth grades to push all limits that are placed in their path.
My Project
This project is designed to create a safe and clean learning environment for each one of my students. By providing a clean place for students to learn, I can do my part in making sure my students are healthy enough to attend school each day.
I'm requesting Kleenex tissues, Purell hand sanitizer, Scotch-Brite Non-Scratch Scrub Sponges, Dawn detergent, and Clorox disinfecting wipes to keep my classroom clean.
Everyone knows that schools aren’t the cleanest places in the world, I hope that my using these supplies I can make it just a little bit cleaner. When you hear the words “positive classroom environment” you rarely think of the cleanliness of the classroom. How clean or dirty a classroom is can have a huge impact on student learning.
