My Students
My first graders are a great group of students! My classroom is made up of thirty eager first graders. I also have a wide range of reading and math abilities in my classroom. My reading levels range from pre-kindergarten to fourth grade. It's important that I read with these children every day to get them on grade level by the end of the year. Many of my students are very low readers, speak English as a second language and get free or reduced price lunch. These students will do anything for anybody. We are always bringing the best out of everyone. Despite my students' backgrounds, they all have one thing in common and that is their love of learning and helping others.
My Project
My first grade students need a classroom/hallway sweeper that will last. On our carpet that we read, write and do math and it needs to stay clean and fresh. We do everything on this rug. Centers, story time, read alouds, show and tell, and more.
A typical day for us begins sitting on the floor in a circle and sharing out what we have learned about singing songs, reading stories and discussing what a good day we will have.
With 30 eager children to learn, it needs to be clean everyday. We need something easy to clean with where I can assign jobs with these easy cordless vacuums and have the children clean up after themselves. Thank you for thinking of us and keeping our future leaders in mind.
